In addition to climate protection, the protection of soil, water and air, the protection of human society and health, design, planning and construction also means, above all, consideration for the needs of future (user) generations. To this end, it is necessary to establish a collection of principles in architecture/building construction education, to question and break up traditional architect’s performance profiles and to promote an understanding of the role of architecture that takes into account the overall system.
The educational objective of the module is the acquisition of knowledge and professional competence in building, planning and design principles from the perspective of a holistic view of architecture.
The module aims to promote the ability to grasp complex structural engineering and structural design problems as well as the systematic forethought of innovative concepts for structural design and its materialisation in accordance with the rules of technology.
