The Austrian Steel Construction Award for Students aims to promote and make publicly visible forward-looking and experimental projects from the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and art.

The award is open to artistic positions, spatial visions, and constructive experiments, as well as everything in between. The focus is on exploring the potentials of steel and metal materials – technical performance and recyclability.
Projects from past and current semesters can be submitted in the categories Upcycle & Recycle and Space & Structure. Outstanding student works that envision exciting worlds and formulate convincing arguments to continue and advance steel construction culture will be awarded.

Project and final works that have been completed within the framework of a bachelor’s or master’s degree at an Austrian university in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and art since October 2020 can be submitted. Submissions are possible online from 15.03.2023 to 26.04.2023.
