\nBeauty and Biological Responsibility: Survival Through Design<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Raymond Neutra is the youngest son of Richard Neutra. He read his father\u2019s book \u201cSurvival Through Design\u201d when it first came out while he was in high school. As a result, he resolved to follow a research career in medicine. After a public health career in environmental medicine and epidemiology at several universities and the California Department of Public Health he has been drawn back to the legacy of his father and brother. In 2019 he took over the leadership of the Neutra Institute for Survival Through Design. He has been active in the preservation of the Neutra VDL Studio and Residences and several other Neutra projects. He is an \u201cambassador\u201d for the Iconic House Network and has written scholarly articles on his father\u2019s career. In addition to preservation, he endorses the Neutra commitment to socially and ecologically responsible design inspired by evidence.<\/p>\n

The talk will be held in English.<\/p>\n
