Macondo – The settlement on the outskirts of Vienna, which is not officially called that name, is a place where refugees in Austria were settled for decades. Since the mid-1950s, refugees with an official status have been accommodated in the former barracks, some for an unlimited period and some for a limited period. In this context, a new architecture should serve as a catalyst for community building.<\/span> The requirements and functions of this community place will be developed on the basis of research and analysis of the needs and wishes of the users.
