Maria da Graça Ribeiro Correia Ragazzi is a visiting professor at the Institute of Architecture and Design during the summer semester 2026.
Period: 01.03.2026 – 30.06.2026
Course: Integrative Design – Metamorphosis
Graça Correia is an architect and academic whose work connects practice, research, and teaching. She studied architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and subsequently worked with Eduardo Souto de Moura—an experience that significantly shaped her architectural approach, particularly in relation to context, construction, and the legacy of modernism.
She completed her PhD at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona with research on the work of Ruy Jervis d’Athouguia, contributing to a critical reassessment of Portuguese modernism. In 2022, she achieved her habilitation at FAUP.
She is currently an Associate Professor at the Universidade Lusófona do Porto (FCATI-ULP) and has been a visiting professor at several international universities. Her work is defined by a continuous dialogue between theory and practice, reflecting a contemporary interpretation of modern architectural principles.
With her course Metamorphosis, Graça Correia brings this approach into design teaching, focusing on transformation, context, and architectural evolution.
