aim:

Identification of buildable structural applications and their implications for construction issues, form and function in order to aid decision-making (reasoning for what and when) in their own projects.

content:

Extreme physical, social and / or psychological conditions challenge the architectural design and construction of a building. Buildings in extreme environments will be discussed in regard to their design strategy, construction and material selection as well as their functional usability. The architectural design approach and its realization in terms of planning and construction, choice of materials as well as its usability shall be discussed on the basis of built examples.
